CHARACTERISTICS.

vamisole HCL is a levoisomer, belonging to limidazoles and is biologically active derivative of tetramisole. Brak- ing enzyme of acetylcholinesterase, blocks the forma- tion of ATP. It affects the neuromuscular system of the parasite, it causes contraction of muscles and paralysis leading to death of the parasites already in the first 12-24 hours after administration. In liver of animals levamisole is transformed into oksymerkaptoetylfenil- imidasolidine, which positively affects the immune system of mammals and birds.

PHARMACOLOGICAL

DOSAGE. Cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs – once, orally with food or water 1 g per 10 kg of body weight.

Poultry – orally with water 3 - 4 g per 10 kg of body weight  once or share this dose for intake within 3-4 days. For pigeons – 1 g of the drug per cup of water. This solution replaces all drinking water for 3-5 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS. Do not apply to females in the last third of pregnancy, breeding bulls in the coupling pe- riod, laying hens and emaciated animals.

Do not apply with Pyrantel, morantel, organophosphate drugs neostigmine.

APPLICATION. For deworming of cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, birds (chickens, geese, turkeys, pigeons) against

PRECAUTIONS.

slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed in 7 days, milk and eggs can be eaten in 3 days. In the case of earlier slaughter, term meat is fed to carnivorous ani- mals or for production of meat and bone flour.
